I’m home! Yes, I’ve been home now for two weeks and I must admit, I should have posted stuff up earlier saying that, but I’ve been going stupid already, and next week is going to be even busier!
Yes, it’s good to be home. I’ve gone back to work, seen people, and got to hang out with Ellice a lot, which has been great.
I’ve been encouraged by a few people to keep updating this site, so maybe I will, and I’ll just use the myspace thing, as a contact point (http://www.myspace.com/vr_driver
Ok, a quick summary of what I learnt in America – and I’ll be nice. I promise.
It’s big.
No one has a kettle
Cheese is served with nearly every meal.
They don’t know about rounding with their currency.
As a general rule, people don’t know much about outside their area, or other countries for that matter, however, there is exception to the rule. People that travel are much more educated on a lot of things.
Would I visit again? yeah, but not in a hurry. I need some more cash, and I don’t think a few people would let me go quite so easily this time.
Now that I have offended everyone. I would like to say thanks to everyone that hosted me, and put up with me during the time I was over there. And, even though I take ages (that means a long time) to write back, I have not forgotten you all. It meant a lot to have people driving me around and taking me places and putting up with my accent and strange cooking.
